Aroo Private Limited has been set up to offer the Indian Armed Forces locally manufactured high quality, cost effective products. Our vision is to design and source protective clothing and Gear. The primary focus is on technical research aimed at creating intelligent textiles and Gear. The company provides domestically made end-to-end solutions, from material sourcing through to the complete apparel and Gear range. Our mission and service are unique.
Aroo’s role in successfully indigenising key high altitude gear and passing rigorous field trials conducted by the Indian Army and in licensing OEM for manufacture of such apparel now being made within the country is unique and generating jobs in labour intensive sectors, rewards for innovators and (by substituting for hundreds of crores of imports with local suppliers) improving self reliance of the nation and preparedness of our defence forces.

The Aroo Story
Aroo is the call of the wolf. Like our Army Jawan the Aroo Wolf inhabits extreme high-altitude regions. Moving swiftly and safely across treacherous terrain the Aroo Wolf exhibits immaculate foresight, balance and agility. He is alert and loyal inspiring those around to prosper and survive in any situation. Wolves have an instinctive understanding of leadership, goal-oriented tasks and share a heightened intuition in threat assessments. They naturally organize themselves into packs applying strategy, patience, and competence. These packs operate on a code of conduct, working together they are communicative, sophisticated, relentless with an unwillingness to quit. We at Aroo embody these qualities of the wolf and aim to deliver the future of clothing systems and products to the Indian army which will enhance the qualities of the Indian wolf – our soldier, our Jawan.

- Clothing and accessories used by the armed forces meant for temperatures in the minus 50 to minus 60 degree range
- Meant & used essentially by Indian armed forces in the North west & North east frontier
PRODUCT INFORMATION
This is a 3 layer system
which includes 1 layer of
highly breathable fleece
fabric with superior
moisture management,
anti-microbial properties &
2 layers of insulated
waterproof and breathable
garments made of high
tenancity nylon fabrics
with superior strength.
Using all three layers, the
ECWCS system provides
protection up to -50° C
temperature and high
wind velocity by reducing
the loss of body heat.
